Jul 23, 2017 · This is now the main entry-point for MIDI into my DIY modular system. The MIDI clock, together with any incoming MIDI messages is sent to the MIDI breakout board for use by other MIDI-aware modules, and everything is “thru’d” to the MIDI output – so all of my external MIDI gear (and my laptop!) can be slaved to it.
The Eminent Solina is a famous string synthesizer from the 70's. It is based on a paraphonic oscillator, a simple envelope and a phaser. The oscillators in the original was a divide down structure where you generate the frequencies for the top octave and divide those down by modulo 2 for the rest of the octaves.
A modular sequencer. Patch the sequencer to the programmer for a classic sequencer action or trigger it manually for presets. Billed as Moog Music’s interactive creative learning portal for everything from mod tutorials and lesson plans to 3D printable files and project ideas, the Workshop is more or less Moog’s musical take on today’s development boards such as the Raspberry Pi or Arduino.
Kastle is a mini modular synthesizer with a headphone output, 2 in/out ports for interfacing other gear and it runs on just 3 AA batteries. It is DIY friendly and ideal for beginners in modular synthesis, but it will add some quite unique functionality to any modular synthesizer system.
